High Desert Baseball Expands Youth Baseball Opportunities in Durango Through Farmington League Partnership
High Desert Baseball, a youth baseball organization based in Durango, Colorado, is excited to announce that we will compete this summer in the Farmington Amateur Baseball Congress in Farmington, New Mexico.
This partnership expands competitive summer baseball opportunities for youth players in Durango while strengthening Four Corners regional baseball competition.
Why This Matters for Youth Baseball in Durango:
Families in Durango have long wanted high-level youth baseball opportunities without constant long-distance travel. By competing in Farmington, our players gain strong league competition just a short drive from home. This allows Durango athletes to:
• Play competitive summer baseball close to home
• Compete against established regional programs
• Develop in a structured league environment
• Maintain balance with school, family, and community
We believe quality youth baseball in Durango does not require excessive travel or weekend-long tournament schedules. Competing in Farmington provides meaningful games, rivalries, and player development opportunities within the Four Corners region.
Strengthening Four Corners Baseball
Farmington has a strong baseball tradition and a passionate community that supports youth athletics. By joining the Farmington Amateur Baseball Congress, High Desert Baseball continues building a sustainable model for competitive youth baseball in Durango and surrounding communities.
This move reinforces our mission:
To create high-level baseball opportunities for Durango players while building regional competition that elevates everyone involved.
We look forward to a competitive summer season and continued growth for youth baseball in Durango.
